Since I’ve been making tea cozies for my etsy shop lately, I was very curious to know the history and origin of tea cozies. In England, it is spelled tea cosy. I had been spelling it this way for a while until my searches kept changing it to “cozy”. To clarify, “cozy” is apparently the American English spelling. If you are unfamiliar with tea cosies, they resemble a knitted hat and are traditionally made of wool or cloth.
